The Lone Planet
The Italian sage Padre Pio is reported to have had clairvoyant powers and believed in the existence of a group of sinless extraterrestrial beings in an unknown extra-solar planet? This poem is based on Pio's clairvoyant assumption: Leptons and quarks are the letters
Of mother nature's alphabet.
Stars are the flowers of the angels .
Galaxies are the poetry of the heaven!
Hundred billion galaxies spiralling around,
Hundred billion stars in the home galaxy,
Proclaiming the majesty, the infinity,
The immensity of the Supreme Being. Far away in a distant galaxy,
Bethlehem star is still shimmering,
Though a dust amidst the multitude of stars.
Circling the star is a lone planet,
Populated by holy beings not sinned,
Who never fell from their grace? Earthlings, their inter-galactic brothers defected.
Subservient to the creator, the extra-terrestrials
Fought the temptations of the evil one.
Nonetheless, not free from
The menace of the earthlings' sins.
Jesus chose to be born in planet earth,
For it was a lost planet.
God incarnated in the universe,
Physically manifesting in the green planet,
Sending inter- galactial spiritual waves. Whilst the saviour was born,
The friendly star showed its lone planet-beings,
Their creator in the humble manger.
They rejoiced His birth,
For He was also their saviour,
And praised Him together with the angels ,
In the wilderness of the galaxies. The good shepherd searched for His lost sheep.
The humble ones above followed Jesus
Spiritually in His life and death.
The planet swamped with tears
As the earthlings crucified the Lord,
They caught His sad musing on the cross.
The risen Christ appeared to them
Announcing the good news.
The lonely planet is echoing
And reverberating with their holy hymns,
While the galaxies compose
Their silent celestial music
In the stillness of the shadow matter.
