Eye Puffiness - What Causes Eye Puffiness? Tips to Cure It
Eyes are the most delicate part of your face. A small particle can leave your eyes disturbed and irritated. Eye puffiness is very common between people. There are several reasons responsible for the same. Reasons for Eye Puffiness - Change in season - Pollution and irritants present in the air - Stress - Sleeplessness - Allergies and health sickness - Excessive intake of alcohol - One more reason which you may not have heard of is, salty diet- By salty diet we do not mean that you do not take salt in you food at all, but take it in less quantities. Now that we have known the common reasons responsible for eye puffiness, let us also know some tips to cure it. 1. Used tea bags therapy- After having your daily cup of tea, refrigerate the tea bags for some hours. Now use these cold and damp tea bags and place them on your eyes for 10 minutes. Rinse properly and relax. The cooling effect will smooth down the tiredness and moisture in the bag will help you get rid of the allergy . 2. Peel a cucumber and cut it into thin slices. Place the slices under the eyes for 20 minutes. Cucumber has cooling properties and also has antioxidants which help your eyes staying fresh and clean. 3. Massage the side and under are of your eyes slowly and smoothly with olive oil. This will provide relief and your skin will slowly come down to the level of your face. 4. Take proper sleep at night. A human body requires atleast 8 hours of sleep. If you don't do so, your eyes will be the first one to show all signs of tiredness in form of puffiness. 5. Wear sunglasses every time you move out of your house, so that the situation does not get worsened. 6. Salt keeps your body hydrated throughout the day as it causes the body to preserve water. So it is advised that you take small amount of salt in your food. 7. Too much alcohol will always leave you with a hangover even on the next day, thus causing puffiness. So, avoid drinking like you're insane.
